1. BulletPlan of Attack

Plan your workout &

workout your plan.

The first step in getting into better shape is admitting to yourself that you need to do so.

However, without a solid laid out plan you will fail. Every try to build a house without a plan? The same goes for your body!

The planning section will help you form a plan to reach your goals.

There is no special secret to getting in shape. The problem is most people are looking for a quick fix. I admit some of them may appear to work in the short term, but they do not work in the long term and in reality can be bad in the long term. They may have favorable external results, but heed my warning, they can do much damage internally and/or make future fitness attempts more difficult. So to be blunt, forget about the quick fix and dedicate yourself to a healthy nutritional plan and moderate exercise.

  1. Key

  2. Points

Quick fixes such as miracle pills and diets never work. So don’t even bother with them.

Lifelong lifestyle changes are needed for ever lasting results. Ignore diets like the plague !

Look at me... how much do you think I work out? Would you believe I only weight train two hours a week? Well it is the truth. You don't need to bust your butt in the gym to get in shape. The majority of the battle is proper nutrition. I do 20 minutes of high intensity interval cardio every day and weight train four days a week. But, that is what needs to be done for my goals. Your goals may be different. To shed unwanted body fat three days of cardio may be sufficient with a healthy nutrition plan.

Instead of making excuses why you can't do this and can't do that make excuses to do things that will allow you to do this and do that.

If you have little time to cook every day do what I do. Do all of your cooking on the weekend and put meals in tupperware containers for the week. I spend about an hour every week preparing my meals for work for the week. Yes, you heard me, an hour. I think you can spare that time.

There is no special plan to get into better shape. The big plan is to keep yourself motivated and dedicated. A buddy system can be of great help. Find a friend who also wants to get into better physical condition and keep each other on track. With someone else by your side you are less likely to cheat on your nutrition plan or miss sessions at the gym.

What I cannot stress enough is don't get discouraged if you don't reach your final goals quickly. Physical fitness takes time. Instead of just setting long term goals, set daily, weekly, monthly, and long term goals. The short term goals will help you see what progress you are making and attaining said goals will give you more motivation to work towards your long term goals.

I also recommend taking photographs every few weeks. It will allow you to compare before and after pictures which will allow you to see changes you have made to your body over time. This is another tool to keep you motivated.

So as you can see there is no trick to getting in shape. All you need is some dedication, time, and patience and you will achieve your Extreme Physique.
